The Role
We're looking for a creative, data-driven Social Media, CRM & SEO Marketing Manager who can wear
multiple hats and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment. You'll own our social media presence
across all platforms, build and execute sophisticated email marketing and CRM strategies, and
optimize our digital presence for search engines to drive organic growth.
This role is perfect for someone who's equally comfortable crafting viral Instagram content, analyzing
customer cohort data, and optimizing landing pages for search rankings—who understands brand
storytelling, conversion optimization, and organic discovery.
What You'll Do
Social Media Management (60%)
Content Creation & Strategy
• Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy across Instagram, TikTok,
Twitter/X, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms
• Create engaging, on-brand content including graphics, short-form video, memes, and copy that
resonates with cannabis culture
• Plan and manage content calendars, ensuring consistent posting and timely responses to
trends
• Build and engage our community through comments, DMs, and authentic interactions
• Identify and collaborate with cannabis influencers, micro-influencers, and brand ambassadors
Campaign Execution
• Launch and manage social campaigns for product drops, promotions, and special initiatives
• Create platform-specific content optimized for each channel's unique audience
• Monitor social trends and news to capitalize on real-time marketing opportunities
• A/B test content formats, messaging, and posting times to maximize engagement
Analytics & Reporting
• Track and report on social media KPIs (engagement rate, follower growth, reach, conversions)
• Use insights to continuously refine strategy and content approach
• Identify top-performing content and scale what works
CRM & Email Marketing (30%)
Email Marketing Strategy
• Design and execute email marketing campaigns including promotional, transactional, and
lifecycle communications
• Build automated email flows for onboarding, cart abandonment, re-engagement, and
retention
• Segment audiences based on behavior, preferences, and purchase history
• Create compelling email copy and work with designers to produce high-converting templates
• Manage email calendar and ensure strategic timing/frequency
CRM Management
• Own and optimize our CRM platform [specify: HubSpot/Klaviyo/Salesforce/etc.]
• Build and maintain customer segments for targeted marketing
• Develop data-driven customer retention strategies
• Create personalized customer journeys based on lifecycle stage
• Implement loyalty programs and referral initiatives within CRM
Performance & Optimization
• Monitor email performance metrics (open rates, CTR, conversion rates, revenue per email)
• Conduct A/B testing on subject lines, content, CTAs, and send times
• Analyze customer data to identify opportunities for increased engagement and LTV
• Manage push notification strategy and execution
• Collaborate with product team on in-app messaging
SEO & Content Optimization (10%)
SEO Strategy & Implementation
• Develop and execute SEO strategy to increase organic traffic and app store visibility
• Conduct keyword research for cannabis delivery and related terms, navigating compliance
restrictions
• Optimize website content, meta descriptions, headers, and landing pages for target keywords
• Create SEO-optimized blog content and resources that drive organic discovery
• Optimize app store listings (ASO - App Store Optimization) for increased downloads
Technical SEO
• Collaborate with dev team to ensure technical SEO best practices (site speed, mobile
optimization, schema markup)
• Monitor and improve Core Web Vitals and site performance metrics
• Conduct regular site audits to identify and fix SEO issues
• Manage XML sitemaps, robots.txt, and internal linking structure
Local SEO
• Optimize for local search queries and "near me" searches
• Manage and optimize location-based content and service area pages
• Build and maintain local citations and business listings where applicable
Analytics & Reporting
• Track organic search performance using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEO
tools
• Monitor keyword rankings, organic traffic, and conversion rates from organic channels
• Provide regular SEO performance reports with actionable insights
• Identify content gaps and opportunities based on search trends
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with the creative team on visual assets for social, email, and web
• Partner with product team to promote new features and app updates
• Coordinate with customer service to address social inquiries and maintain brand voice
• Support cause marketing initiatives (e.g., Jamaica hurricane relief efforts)
• Align campaigns with sales goals and promotional calendar
• Collaborate with dev team on website updates and SEO implementations
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
• 3-5 years of experience in digital marketing with proven expertise in social media, email/CRM,
and SEO
• Proven track record of growing social media audiences and engagement
• Experience with email marketing platforms (Klaviyo, Mailchimp, HubSpot, or similar)
• Demonstrated success in improving organic search rankings and driving SEO traffic
• Proficiency with SEO tools (Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, or
similar)
• Strong copywriting skills with the ability to write for different audiences and platforms
• Understanding of technical SEO fundamentals and website optimization
• Data-driven mindset with experience analyzing metrics and making data-informed decisions
• Proficiency with social media management tools (Hootsuite, Buffer, Later, etc.)
• Basic graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar)
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment
Preferred Qualifications
• Video editing skills (CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or similar)
• Experience with SMS marketing platforms
• Knowledge of content marketing and content strategy
• App Store Optimization (ASO) experience
• Experience with local SEO and location-based marketing
• Previous experience at a high-growth startup or DTC brand
• Familiarity with performance marketing and paid social
• Experience managing influencer partnerships
• Basic HTML/CSS knowledge
