Job description

Role purpose

Own the blockchain data layer that converts messy, multi-chain activity into standardized, reconciled, audit-ready financial records.

Key responsibilities

  • Build ingestion pipelines for blockchain, wallet, exchange, DeFi, custodian, and off-chain transaction data.

  • Normalize transactions across chains, assets, token standards, smart contracts, NFTs, stablecoins, and DeFi protocols.

  • Develop classification logic for transfers, swaps, staking, lending, bridging, gas fees, rewards, liquidations, and contract interactions.

  • Support wallet-by-wallet cost-basis tracking, entity mapping, reconciliation, and sub-ledger creation.

  • Build chain adapters and data quality checks for accuracy, completeness, duplicate detection, missing data, and failed transaction handling.

  • Partner with product and accounting experts to map blockchain events into finance-native transaction categories.

  • Design monitoring tools for chain data availability, indexing failures, reorgs, API latency, and provider outages.

  • Support Kednus’s goal of turning 200+ blockchains into audit-ready institutional financials.

Required qualifications

  • 5+ years of data engineering, blockchain infrastructure, crypto accounting, or distributed-systems experience.

  • Strong understanding of blockchain transactions, wallets, smart contracts, token standards, explorers, RPC nodes, indexers, and event logs.

  • Experience with data pipelines, ETL/ELT, streaming systems, and large-scale transaction datasets.

  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, TypeScript, Go, Rust, or similar.

  • Experience working with APIs, RPC endpoints, webhooks, indexers, and data providers.

  • Ability to build resilient systems that detect data anomalies and reconcile inconsistent sources.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with Ethereum, EVM chains, Bitcoin, Solana, Cosmos, Polygon, Base, Arbitrum, Optimism, Avalanche, or other major chains.

  • Familiarity with DeFi protocols, bridges, custodians, exchanges, and tokenized real-world assets.

  • Experience with graph databases, entity resolution, wallet clustering, or fraud analytics.

  • Knowledge of accounting treatment for crypto transactions.

First 90-day success outcomes

  • Deliver a prioritized chain coverage roadmap.

  • Build reusable chain adapter patterns.

  • Establish transaction normalization schemas.

  • Improve transaction classification and reconciliation accuracy.

Kednus

1-10 employees

Founded by fund managers, technologists, and compliance experts, Kednus is built to one principle: compliance for regulated digital assets must be engineered, not described. We turn fragmented AI decision paths, training data lineage, and on-chain activity into a single, governed, evidence-backed source of truth — deterministic, reconciled, and supervisor-ready. We centralize data across AI models, cloud environments, and data sources; apply deterministic reconciliation and lineage emission to a tamper-evident evidence ledger; and deliver decision-quality records that plug directly into your ERP, risk, and compliance stacks. RPHunter (RPH-05), ZK Compliance Proofs (ZKP-09), and FedGraph-VASP (FGV-11) carry provisional patent applications. Backed by enterprise rigor and the delivery power of implementation partners, Kednus scales from emerging innovators to global institutions adopting digital assets.
