Job Title: Manual QA Engineer (Multilingual)

Location: Burlingame, CA or Redmond, WA (Onsite)

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Manual QA Engineer to join our team in Burlingame, CA or Redmond, WA. The ideal candidate will have strong manual testing experience, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in one of the required languages. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams, developing test strategies, executing test plans, identifying defects, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality products.

Required Language Proficiency

Candidates must be native or fluent speakers in one of the following languages:

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams to support new feature bring-up and product validation.

• Develop comprehensive test strategies and test plans for new products and features.

• Design, author, execute, and maintain manual test cases.

• Create and manage test runs and assign testing activities.

• Perform functional, regression, integration, localization, and ad-hoc testing.

• Review, triage, de-duplicate, and prioritize reported defects.

• Investigate software and hardware issues and document findings clearly.

• Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing.

• Analyze application logs to identify root causes of issues.

• Execute exploratory testing for undocumented or newly developed features.

• Maintain existing test cases by updating them for accuracy and completeness.

• Review bug reports submitted by other QA team members.

• Prepare test execution reports and communicate testing status to stakeholders.

• Support ad-hoc testing requests from engineering and product teams.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Native or fluent proficiency in one of the required languages listed above.

• Experience in Manual Software Testing.

• Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and defect management.

• Experience creating test plans, test strategies, and detailed test cases.

• Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira, Bugzilla, Mantis, or similar.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using debugging and diagnostic tools such as:

• Visual Studio

• Android Studio

• ADB (Android Debug Bridge)

• GDB

• Experience reviewing application and system logs for issue analysis.

• Familiarity with command-line tools and scripting basics.

• Experience testing mobile applications, consumer devices, or embedded systems.

• Experience with localization or multilingual product testing is a plus.
