🔐 Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced WAF Consultant with strong Akamai experience to design, deploy, configure, and optimize enterprise edge security solutions.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience protecting web applications and APIs using Akamai security technologies and strong knowledge of network and application security.

🛠️ Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Akamai WAF

• Experience with Akamai Kona Site Defender (KSD) and/or App & API Protector (AAP)

• Deep understanding of:

  • HTTP / HTTPS
  • TLS / SSL
  • DNS
  • TCP/IP
  • Reverse Proxy Architectures

• Experience configuring enterprise WAF solutions such as Akamai, F5, or Cloudflare

• Knowledge of Web Application & API Security

• Working knowledge of Python, Bash, or REST APIs for security automation

• Ability to troubleshoot application, network, and WAF-related security issues

• Strong communication and consulting skills

🎯 Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise WAF security solutions
• Configure and optimize Akamai security policies
• Protect web applications and APIs from common threats
• Analyze WAF alerts, traffic patterns, and security events
• Troubleshoot false positives and security rule issues
• Support security automation using Python, Bash, or REST APIs
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and security teams
