About Maps.ai

Maps.ai is building AI analysts that integrate directly into investment workflows. We ingest thousands of signals such as startups, research, patents, and funding rounds, and transform them into market maps, diligence insights, and decision-ready outputs for VCs, family offices, and financial institutions. Our goal is to automate the work of an investment team end-to-end.

What You’ll Work On

You will be supporting the team building the core product:

● Design and build AI agents that perform investor workflows such as market research, thesis matching, and diligence

● Work with LLMs like OpenAI, Anthropic, and Gemini to generate structured outputs including memos, scorecards, and market maps

● Build pipelines that ingest and synthesize multi source data from APIs, PDFs, and web data

● Experiment with retrieval augmented generation and evaluation frameworks

● Prototype features such as:

       ○ Thesis Fit Scorecards

       ○ Competitive Landscape Analysis

       ○ Auto-generated Investment Memos

● Collaborate on product and UX decisions

● Collaborate on website design

What We’re Looking For

● Strong foundation in Python

● Experience with LLMs or AI tools such as prompting, APIs, or open source models

● Familiarity with:

       ○ LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar frameworks

       ○ Data handling including APIs, scraping, embeddings, and vector databases

● Ability to ship quickly and iterate

● High ownership mindset and comfort working with ambiguity

Bonus

● Experience with RAG pipelines, evaluation, or fine tuning

● Interest in venture capital, startups, or market research

● Prior projects using AI in real world applications
