Proposal & Content Coordinator (Part-Time, Contract)

V8Y models an organization's entire technology environment as a single causal graph — the relationships between components, not the components themselves — and routes every finding to the person who owns it. We're pre-funding, building toward federal and DoD engagement (DARPA-adjacent, GAO High-Risk List problem space), and this role is central to getting there.

The Role

This role exists primarily to move federal proposals forward. Technical content, communications, and knowledge management are real parts of the job, but they are secondary to — and in service of — a consistent cadence of federal submissions: DARPA, DoD, and adjacent technical/government opportunities.

You will support the execution and project management of V8Y's proposals, technical content, and related communications, working closely with and reporting directly to the CEO. Capture strategy, final review, and client-facing decisions stay with the founder; you own keeping the work organized, moving, and on deadline. Much of the underlying research, analysis, and drafting is AI-assisted — your job is to direct that work day to day, evaluate it critically, refine it, and bring each deliverable to completion.

This is a part-time, pre-funding bridge role. It's a strong fit for someone who wants in early, is comfortable with a lean startup pace, and is motivated by the likely conversion to a full-time role post-raise.

What You'll Do

Proposals (primary focus)

• Coordinate federal proposals, applications, and related submissions from kickoff through final delivery

• Run AI-assisted research, evidence gathering, analysis, drafting, and revision, under the CEO's direction

• Review technical content for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and strength of argument

• Translate solicitation requirements, evaluator feedback, and source material into clear action items

• Maintain requirements, deadlines, dependencies, versions, sources, decisions, and approvals across multiple active proposals

Content & communications (secondary)

• Support Reddit responses, website copy, social content, articles, presentations, and other company communications

• Research unfamiliar technical, government, or market topics when deeper context is needed

• Maintain reusable company knowledge, approved language, evidence, prior proposal material, and source documentation

Across both

• Identify gaps, risks, contradictions, and unresolved questions early

• Surface only the decisions and blockers that require founder input

• Keep multiple workstreams moving in parallel and ensure each reaches completion

What Success Looks Like

You can take a complex assignment, determine what needs to happen, organize the work, use AI effectively, verify the result, and deliver something accurate, complete, polished, and ready for final review.

You are comfortable working through technical material carefully, reconciling multiple sources, tracking many details, and iterating until the work is right.

You consistently catch issues before they become problems.
