The Director West, Foodservice reports to the Senior Director of Foodservice Sales. You are responsible for the development and execution of strategies to drive sales of Big Mozz's premium products into street accounts, multi unit, LLOs and regional chains, franchises, and restaurant groups. You will source, develop and nurture customer relationships; direct and manage broadline distributors; and ensure Big Mozz is competitive in the market. This is a highly visible position that requires heavy interaction with customers and multiple functions within the Big Mozz organization.
What You'll Do:
Strategic Planning & Selling:
Own your operators starting with insight-based selling through launch
Monitoring onboarding and course correct post-launch
Develop customer growth strategies to achieve Big Mozz’s strategic sales goals
Identify new opportunities among your selling region
Use data and insights to drive the business and strategic plan
Customer Relationships:
Build and strengthen relationships with key customers to foster trust
Successfully develop, maintain and oversee customer relations by interacting with customers, reviewing and discussing the business relationships and proactively managing key issues/problems
Financial Accountability:
Achieve sales volume and contribution and goals (at a team + individual level)
Manage trade spend effectively and efficiently
Work across Operations to forecast sales, NPD, and production needs.
Travel & Representation of Big Mozz:
Travel to national trade shows & events
Travel to visit accounts in your territory for 1:1 meetings, foodshows and broker trainings
Who You Are:
An experienced seller with at least 2-5yrs experience working with local and regional foodservice accounts, ideally as a premium brand selling into customers
Experience in all aspects of sales, including sales principles & techniques, growth strategies, distribution channel management, account development, business planning cost analysis and budgeting techniques.
Ability to carry the Big Mozz values forward by building and maintaining lasting relationships at any level, from a local owner/operator to the head or purchasing and/or culinary professionals
A self-starter who has worked within smaller companies (<15 people) OR is excited about the opportunity to grow a business in its early stages
An energetic, joyful and passionate person who will get value in building a brand with an equally excited & committed team
Solid negotiation and conflict resolution skills - including proactive identification of problems + development of quick resolutions,
Someone with an innate drive to be better & continuously improve
Solid computer / technical skills - familiarity with Google tech stack (Gmail, Sheets, Docs), Powerpoint and Slack is a plus
What Big Mozz offers:
$130,000-$150,000 based on experience
