Position Overview

Meduit is seeking a Cloud Network Engineer to design, implement, secure, and support enterprise network infrastructure across Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), corporate offices, remote locations, and data center environments.

This role is ideal for a networking professional with strong hybrid cloud experience who enjoys solving complex connectivity challenges, driving infrastructure modernization, and leveraging automation to improve operational efficiency. The Cloud Network Engineer will work closely with Infrastructure, Security, Cloud, Application Development, and business teams to ensure highly available, scalable, and secure networking solutions across the organization.

Salary: $95,000 - $115,000

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and support networking solutions within Microsoft Azure and AWS environments.

  • Develop and maintain secure hybrid connectivity between cloud platforms, corporate offices, remote users, and data center infrastructure.

  • Configure and support enterprise networking technologies including routing, switching, wireless, VPN, SD-WAN, load balancing, and firewall platforms.

  • Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity while proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.

  • Troubleshoot complex networking issues involving routing, switching, cloud connectivity, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, and application access.

  • Partner with Information Security to support Zero Trust initiatives, network segmentation, secure remote access, and cloud security controls.

  • Design solutions that support high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity requirements.

  • Automate network provisioning, deployment, and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and scripting technologies.

  • Support cloud migrations, infrastructure upgrades, office deployments, and modernization initiatives.

  • Maintain network documentation, diagrams, standards, and operational procedures.

  • Participate in change management, maintenance events, and an on-call support rotation.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure in cloud and hybrid environments.

  • Active Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification.

  • Hands-on experience designing and supporting Microsoft Azure networking solutions.

  • Experience supporting AWS networking technologies in an enterprise environment.

  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing and switching, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, network security, and high-availability architectures.

  • Experience with enterprise routers, switches, firewalls, wireless infrastructure, and load-balancing technologies.

  • Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using tools such as Terraform, Azure Bicep, ARM Templates, AWS CloudFormation, or similar technologies.

  • Experience using scripting or automation tools such as PowerShell, Python, or Ansible.

  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

  • Ability to travel approximately 10-20% as needed for deployments, troubleshooting, project work, and site support.

  • Ability to provide occasional after-hours and weekend support for planned maintenance, upgrades, and critical incidents.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate.

  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).

  • AWS networking certifications.

  • Experience with Palo Alto, Cisco Secure Firewall, Fortinet, or similar enterprise firewall platforms.

  • Experience with network automation and configuration management solutions.
