Chief Actuary Officer

Roles & Responsibilities:

The Chief Actuary Officer (CAO) is the enterprise’s mathematical backbone — the executive who ensures SiriusB’s intelligence systems are actuarially sound, statistically defensible, and aligned with the financial realities of Fortune-class employers. This role merges classical actuarial science with advanced AI modeling, canonical data engineering, and reproducible evidence architectures. The CAO guarantees that every prediction, scenario, KPI, and risk signal produced by Kincaid IQ is both mathematically valid and operationally actionable.

Core Function:

Elevate SiriusB’s platform from “advanced analytics” to actuarial-grade intelligence — ensuring the organization produces financial truth that is deterministic, explainable, defensible, and ready for CFO, auditor, regulator, and board scrutiny.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Actuarial Architecture & Governance

 • Own the actuarial integrity of all SiriusB and Kincaid IQ models, scenarios, and forecasts.

 • Develop and maintain the actuarial standards underpinning the Base-44 canonical schema.

 • Chair the Actuarial Governance Council; establish model governance, testing, and validation frameworks.

 • Ensure alignment with ERISA, NAIC, CMS, and emerging federal requirements around actuarial disclosures.

2. Scenario Modeling & Financial Forecasting

 • Lead the design of scenario engines for GLP-1 utilization, PBM contract structures, plan design changes, and employer-level cost trajectories.

 • Build predictive systems for Rx trend, specialty drug escalation, chronic disease shift, and plan-level risk exposure.

 • Quantify EBITDA impact, cash-flow variance, and liability distribution across member populations.

3. Evidence Intelligence Integration

 • Partner with engineering to embed actuarial logic into the Evidence Intelligence Layer, ensuring every result is traceable to source data.

 • Define KPI formulas, attribution rules, filters, and time windows that meet actuarial standards for reproducibility.

 • Ensure deterministic output across multi-agent inference pipelines.

4. AI Model Validation & Risk Controls

 • Lead actuarial oversight of AI models built within SiriusB, including risk scoring agents, anomaly detectors, and economic forecasters.

 • Establish guardrails preventing algorithmic bias, drift, or misinterpretation of PBM/claims data.

 • Validate model outputs with actuarial reasonableness tests, stress testing, and scenario inversion.

5. PBM Forensics & Employer Risk Economics

 • Build actuarial investigation methodologies for spread pricing, rebate capture, GLP-1 interventions, formulary distortion, and broker incentive misalignment.

 • Produce actuarial evidence capable of supporting contract renegotiation, RFPs, regulatory reviews, and fiduciary decisions.

 • Quantify total PBM waste and cost-of-structure for employer plans.

6. Product Leadership & Intelligence Design

 • Collaborate with product, engineering, and AI teams to bring new actuarial-grade KPIs, models, and scenarios to market.

 • Define actuarial components of the PBM + GLP-1 War Room and future OS expansions.

 • Translate actuarial insight into executive-ready intelligence for CFOs, CHROs, and boards.

7. Executive & Regulator Communication

 • Serve as the actuarial authority representing SiriusB to employers, auditors, regulators, and enterprise partners.

 • Create documentation meeting enterprise audit, compliance, and regulatory expectations.

 • Present actuarial findings to executive leadership, board committees, and enterprise accounts.

A successful CAO at SiriusB:

 • Speaks the languages of actuarial science, data engineering, AI modeling, and enterprise finance fluently.

 • Builds models that withstand regulatory, legal, and financial scrutiny.
