Founding Data Engineer (Equity to Paid | Hybrid LA)

Axon Solutions helps high-growth B2B companies turn messy, disjointed data into clean, revenue-generating go-to-market engines. We’re the operational backbone for founders and GTM teams, stitching together CRMs, TAM data, enrichment layers, and everything in between to unlock real sales outcomes.

We’ve already helped companies clean up thousands of CRM records, size their addressable market, and scale faster with clean, enriched data pipelines. Now we’re looking for a Founding Data Engineer to help us scale — technically, operationally, and culturally.

What You’ll Own

You’ll be responsible for the end-to-end data stack: ingestion, transformation, modeling, application integration, and learning:

• Ingesting external and internal data from tools like BigQuery, Airbyte, or building custom extractors in Python

• Structuring robust transformation workflows with DBT

• Using Airflow/Dagster for orchestration 

• Designing and building logic to learn from and improve data over time: e.g., predictive fields like expected revenue using AI/ML approaches

• Developing clean, scalable connections between processed data and our internal tools or customer-facing applications (e.g., through Metabase or equivalent)

• Collaborating directly with the CTO on product delivery, technical roadmap, and GTM support

• Building foundational data architecture that is both reliable today and scalable tomorrow

What We’re Looking For

• Startup-ready mindset, you’ve worked in scrappy environments and know how to ship with limited oversight

• Deep experience across the modern data stack (you’ve used or can quickly get up to speed with tools like BigQuery, Airbyte, dbt, Python, Dagster/Airflow)

• Fluency in Python and confidence in building custom ETL pipelines when needed

• Comfort working with ML/AI pipelines or predictive logic, especially for business-relevant outputs like TAM scoring or revenue estimation

• Passion for clean data and elegant engineering

• Based in Los Angeles or willing to relocate - remote to start, but this will become a hybrid role
