 Full Stack Software Engineer Intern

This is a 3-month, learning-focused internship (unpaid) that provides exposure to full stack development concepts, tools, and workflows. The program is designed to align with academic learning objectives. Interns will work under close supervision and contribute to training projects and non-production environments.

Learning Objectives

• Understand modern web application architecture (frontend, backend, APIs)

• Gain familiarity with development frameworks such as React and backend services

• Gain experience in software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices, including testing and code reviews

• Develop problem-solving skills through guided technical exercises

• Gain exposure to collaborative development workflows and tool

Key Activities (Training-Focused)

• Participate in guided coding exercises and sample projects designed for learning purposes

• Shadow engineers to understand how production systems are designed and maintained

• Assist in non-critical, supervised tasks in development or testing environments 

• Practice building frontend components and backend services in sandbox environments

• Observe and participate in code reviews as a learning exercise

• Attend team meetings, demos, and knowledge-sharing sessions

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

• Basic understanding of web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)

• Familiarity with frontend frameworks (e.g., React) 

• Exposure to backend concepts (APIs, databases) 

• Strong interest in learning and developing technical skills

• Good communication and a collaborative mindset

Preferred (Optional Exposure Areas)

• Awareness of cloud platforms (e.g., Azure)

• Familiarity with Git/version control

• Exposure to containers or CI/CD concepts

• Interest in mobile development, LLMs, Blockchain

Mentorship & Supervision

Interns will receive:

• Regular mentorship from experienced engineers

• Structured check-ins and feedback sessions
