About the Role
We’re looking for a reliable, detail oriented contractor to join our team for onsite event support. You’ll work directly with our lead technician to set up, run, and break down IT and AV systems for client events, ensuring everything performs flawlessly for the duration of the event.
What You’ll Do
- Assist with onsite technical setup, including audio/visual equipment, microphones, displays, and projection systems
- Configure and troubleshoot laptops, network connections, and event technology
- Provide live production support during the event, including speaker and microphone support
- Monitor systems throughout the event and respond quickly to any technical issues
- Support event breakdown and equipment teardown at the close of the event
- Communicate clearly and professionally with event staff, clients, and attendees
What We’re Looking For
- Prior experience with AV equipment (microphones, speakers, displays, projectors) and basic IT troubleshooting
- Comfortable working independently and staying calm under pressure during live events
- Strong communication and people skills; this role involves direct interaction with clients and event staff
- Reliable transportation and availability for full day event assignments, including early morning arrivals
- Ability to lift and transport event equipment as needed
- Professional appearance and demeanor for corporate and executive facing events.
Preferred (Not Required)
- Experience with livestream or hybrid event production
- Familiarity with network infrastructure and configuration
- Previous work in corporate events, conferences, or production environments.
Details
Assignments are project based and scheduled per event; hours generally fall within standard event windows (arrival ahead of start time through breakdown). Events are primarily based in the Atlanta area with occasional travel opportunities. This is a 1099 contractor position; you will be responsible for your own tax reporting.
