Job description

### 💯 As a **Backend Engineer, here are some of the things you would be working on** **(1) Writing high-quality code which meets customer requirements** - Understand the context of why we are building what we are building. - Participate in Roadmap discussion and customer conversation. - Understand customer problems and solve them by writing code. - Work closely with the Product managers and other engineers. **(2) Deep dive into architecture** There is an enormous amount of first-party and third-party data available from channels such as open source, developer forums and communities, telemetry, product analytics and numerous others. This requires us to build a robust architecture which can handle huge volumes, high amounts of data ( We are talking in terms of TBs already) with Fault tolerance, High Availability, Data integrity and Intelligence. You would need to work closely with CTO and Principle engineers to build an architecture which solves the customer problems in the most efficient way. **Skills**: - 2-4 years experience as a Backend Engineer for data-centric SaaS products; ideally in an early-stage startup - Efficiency with at least one of Java, Python or GoLang. - Strong proficiency in Postgres or Clickhouse - Well-versed with Cloud and Paas. ### 👯 **What we look for in our team members?** While there is no stencil for the type of people we like, there are a few traits that might make Reo.Dev a better fit for you. Reo might be a good fit if you… 1. work hard and want to grow really fast 2. care about your work a great deal… find it highly unsettling if the quality of work is even slightly off 3. execute fast 4. are hands on (we will not have elaborate reporting structures for the foreseeable future and hopefully for a long time) 5. are someone people like to work with… low on ego, high on fun 6. have the ability to fail, learn and keep trying till you win… start-ups are tough and we will not get everything right the first time 7. have a longish view of your career growth and not optimizing for the next 1-2 years
