Telehealth Nurse

Telehealth Nurses handle many of the same duties as Nurses in doctor’s offices or other environments, except telemedicine professionals interact with patients via virtual means. You might want to include specific telemedicine duties in a job description, such as:

• Gather patient information and vital signs via patient interviews and instructing patients to use in-home devices such as blood pressure monitors

• Assess patient pain level and other symptoms when speaking to patients on the phone and via web conference

• Provide complex instructions in an easily accessible and calm way to ensure they get accurate information about the person’s condition while also educating patients about appropriate post-visit actions and treatment

• Following up with patients as needed with patients via phone calls, emails or chat systems
