$90,000-120,000/yr

Job description

Required Professional Background

·     Five to eight years of relevant experience in enterprise business development, technology sales, partner development, or alliance management.

·     Experience at a Microsoft consulting partner, systems integrator, cloud services provider, analytics consultancy, or Microsoft itself.

·     A documented track record selling complex consulting or technology solutions to mid-market and enterprise clients.

·     Experience building new business rather than relying primarily on inbound leads or account maintenance.

·     Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or a related field; an MBA is a plus.

Microsoft Ecosystem Experience

·     Established relationships with Microsoft account executives, Data and AI specialists, partner teams, industry teams, and other field sellers.

·     Hands-on familiarity with Microsoft Partner Center, co-sell motions, Marketplace, joint account planning, and partner incentives.

·     Demonstrated success creating and advancing opportunities in collaboration with Microsoft sellers.

·     Ability to align the Client’s services with Microsoft priorities and position the Client as a credible delivery partner.

·     A network strong enough to generate introductions and early pipeline within a reasonable ramp period.

Commercial and Sales Capabilities

·     Builds qualified pipeline and manages opportunities through long, consultative enterprise sales cycles.

·     Conducts executive discovery, identifies business pain, and shapes solution-led conversations.

·     Develops account plans, go-to-market campaigns, proposals, case studies, and partner-led sales plays.

·     Coordinates effectively with technical, delivery, marketing, and executive stakeholders.

·     Can show measurable results such as pipeline created, revenue closed, annual contract value, referrals generated, or strategic accounts expanded.

Technical and Solution Fluency

·     Comfortable discussing Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Services, Power BI, Azure AI, Copilot, and data modernization at a business level.

·     Understands common client challenges involving fragmented data, legacy BI platforms, cloud migration, governance, AI readiness, and analytics transformation.

·     Translates technical capabilities into business outcomes without overpromising delivery scope.

·     Credible with CIOs, data leaders, Microsoft specialists, and solution architects, while not needing to be a hands-on technical architect.

Preferred Industry Exposure

·     Retail and omnichannel commerce.

·     Consumer goods and manufacturing.

·     Healthcare and life sciences.

·     Other data-intensive industries with complex operations, reporting, customer, or supply-chain needs.

Behavioral Profile

·     Self-directed and proactive; creates activity and structure without extensive supervision.

·     Persistent and disciplined in follow-up without becoming transactional or abrasive.

·     Relationship-oriented, but consistently converts relationships into qualified commercial outcomes.

·     Consultative and curious; asks strong questions before presenting a solution.

·     Organized across multiple prospects, Microsoft contacts, campaigns, and internal stakeholders.

·     Entrepreneurial and comfortable operating in a growing organization with evolving processes.

·     Clear, concise, and credible in executive-level communication.
