Freelance Production Technician

Brooktech is seeking highly-motivated and experienced freelance Production Technicians who are based in the Tri-State area (New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut).
Position Responsibilities:
Installation, focus, and strike of theatrical lighting equipment and temporary electrical distribution
Follow direction from onsite leadership team
Assist with other production disciplines as necessary (audio, video, rigging, and scenic)
Position Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience as a stage/event electrician
Experience working with conventional, LED, and automated lighting fixtures
Working knowledge of basic electrical and rigging safety principles
Comfortable working at heights (on ladders and lifts)
Experience with temporary electrical power distribution, DMX, and related control signals
Availability and willingness to work extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
Demonstrate initiative and ownership of assigned tasks
Punctuality, professionalism, and a positive, collaborative attitude when working with clients and co- workers
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with additional production disciplines such as audio, video, rigging, and fabrication
Experience with GrandMA consoles
Able to lift up to 50 pounds
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
Ability to use boom lifts, forklifts, and scissor
