Founding Software Engineer (Paid in Equity)

We’re Aeone — a fast-moving startup building AI agents for marketing teams and content teams. Our mission is to streamline content creation, distribution, and campaign management so creative teams can focus on bold ideas, not tedious workflows. Founded by a former Senior PM at Amazon, we are supported by Senior Leaders at companies like Amazon, Eight Sleep, and RadarFirst.

The Role

You will help build Aeone’s web and mobile applications from the ground up — designing the architecture, choosing the tech stack, and writing production-quality code for both frontend and backend. You’ll also help set up databases, establish engineering best practices, and recruit and lead a top-tier team of engineers.

What You’ll Do

• Build our platform — develop web and mobile apps from scratch (frontend + backend)

• Set up infrastructure — databases, cloud services, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring

• May lead the team — recruit, mentor, and manage engineers as the company grows

• Collaborate closely with product and design to deliver a seamless user experience

• Establish engineering culture — coding standards, processes, and architecture decisions

• Scale globally — manage and coordinate with teams across multiple time zones

• Make high-impact technical decisions that shape Aeone’s product for years to come

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of software engineering experience (full-stack is a plus)

• Proven experience building products from the ground up — ideally in a startup environment

• Strong backend skills (Node.js, Python, or similar) and frontend expertise (React, React Native, or similar)

• Experience with database design and management (SQL, postgres SQL, and/or NoSQL)

• Highly skilled in AWS cloud/GCP solutions

• Track record of recruiting, managing, and scaling engineering teams

• Experience working with or managing engineering teams in India is a plus

• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-ownership environments

• Clear communication and leadership skills — able to inspire and align teams

Compensation (pre-Seed round)

• Option 1 – Part-Time (Weekend Commitment): compensation is ~1%–2% equity, for 16-20 hours on the weekend.

• Option 2 – Full-Time (Full-time Commitment): compensation is ~5%–6% equity

We will work out of 100 Denny Way or 1420 5th Ave in Seattle.
