Associate Immigration Attorney

About the Role

Tadeo & Silva Law is seeking a dedicated Associate Immigration Attorney to represent clients facing removal proceedings, asylum claims, and other complex immigration matters. This role is ideal for an attorney who is passionate about immigrant rights and wants to make a direct impact on clients' lives through skilled advocacy and compassionate representation.

What You'll Do

• Represent clients in removal defense proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA).

• Prepare and file asylum applications, cancellation of removal, adjustment of status, and other forms of relief.

• Develop case strategy and legal arguments for complex deportation defense matters.

• Conduct legal research.

• Prepare clients and witnesses for merits hearings, individual hearings, and interviews.

• Draft briefs, motions, and legal memoranda in support of client matters.

• Ensure compliance with USCIS regulations and filing requirements across all case types.

• Communicate directly with clients throughout the representation, including Spanish-speaking clients.

• Supervise and collaborate with paralegals and support staff on case preparation.

• Stay current on changes in immigration law, agency policy, and case precedent.

• Represent the firm with professionalism in court, with opposing counsel, and with government agencies.

What We're Looking For

• J.D. and active license

• 2+ years of experience in immigration law, with removal defense or asylum experience strongly preferred.

• Working knowledge of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) and immigration court procedure.

• Fluency in Spanish is strongly preferred.

• Strong written and oral advocacy skills.

• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload with attention to detail and deadlines.

• Genuine commitment to immigrant rights and client-centered representation.
