ABOUT THE ROLE
Kit Switch is transforming how multifamily interiors are built, using ready-to-install kits to accelerate retrofit and adaptive reuse projects.
We are looking for a Projects Lead to own the delivery of our projects from kickoff to closeout, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met. This is a high-ownership hands-on role, driving all aspects of project execution from coordinating with clients and contractors to walking the job site, troubleshooting installs, and refining our processes as we scale.
As Project Manager at Kit Switch, you’ll lead projects from kickoff to closeout, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met. You’ll serve as the primary external-facing contact across project phases, manage stakeholder relationships, and guide onsite execution. We are seeking a candidate who shares our vision/priorities for (list them below) and will be instrumental in xyz. In your first 3 months, you will oversee the first-of-its-kind delivery of interior kit-of-parts for a motel conversion into affordable housing, and the deployment of 150 kits in a mix of renovation and new construction in your first 6 months. This is a leadership role for someone who thrives in high-ownership environments and has deep experience with interior build-outs, prefabricated installations, and stakeholder coordination.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Project Leadership: Own project delivery across multiple retrofit and conversion sites from design through installation.
Client & Partner Coordination: Interface with developers, GCs, architects, engineers, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.
Installation Oversight: Oversee and support field teams, travel to job sites, and ensure successful installation and contractor training.
Timeline & Budget Management: Maintain accurate schedules, flag risks, and manage change orders or issues proactively.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all installations meet company standards; review field reports and verify closeout documentation.
Team Enablement: Lead internal check-ins, ensure alignment between product, delivery, and design functions.
Process Development: Establish and refine project delivery systems, handoff procedures, and field protocols as we scale.
Business Development: Contribute to sales goals by nurturing existing customer relationships and bringing new opportunities through industry networking.
IDEAL EXPERIENCE
4-6+ years experience in construction or project management, ideally including prefabricated systems
Strong familiarity with design-build workflows, cabinetry or finish carpentry, and MEP coordination
Experience with project management tools, scheduling and estimating, Google Suite
Familiarity with BIM software (Revit) and CAD modeling (Inventor) preferred but not required
Experience working in fast-paced environments and small teams. Agility and comfort with ambiguity
Strong interest in driving innovation, affordability, equity, and sustainability in the building industry
Excellent client management, team collaboration, communication skills, and quick decision making
Working knowledge of code, construction documents, and field protocols
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites
