The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly analytical and motivated Junior Industrial Controller to support financial

operations across U.S. manufacturing plants.

This role partners closely with the Financial Controller, Cost Controller, and plant leadership to ensure

accurate financial reporting, cost control, operational analysis, and performance visibility across

manufacturing activities.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Close & Reporting

301 Grant Street, Suite 270 I Pittsburgh I PA• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes

• Perform reconciliations and variance analysis

• Ensure accuracy and completeness of plant financial results

• Provide commentary on key drivers, trends, and operational variances

• Assist with financial reporting and manufacturing performance visibility

Cost Accounting & Operational Analysis

• Analyze production variances, including:

o material usage

o scrap and waste

o labor efficiency

• Monitor manufacturing KPIs, direct labor costs, and line performance

• Support development and maintenance of standard costs

• Assist with cost optimization and continuous improvement initiatives

Inventory & Internal Controls

• Partner with Operations to monitor inventory accuracy and valuation

• Support cycle counts and physical inventory processes

• Investigate discrepancies and assist with reconciliations

• Maintain strong internal controls across inventory and production activities

ERP & Data Integrity

• Support ERP system accuracy, including:

o Bills of Materials (BOMs)

o labor routings

o cost structures

• Assist with master data validation to ensure accurate product costing

• Support ongoing systems and process improvements

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities

• Support tracking of actuals vs. budget

• Help identify financial risks and opportunities

Continuous Improvement & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Operations, Supply Chain, R&D, and Finance teams

• Support financial analysis related to operational initiatives and new product launches

• Participate in process improvement projects and KPI development

• Support tracking of fixed assets and capital expenditures

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• 2–5 years of experience in industrial accounting or finance

• Strong Excel and analytical skills

• Experience supporting month-end close and financial reporting

• Fully onsite availability in Bartlett, IL

• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Preferred

• Manufacturing finance or accounting experience

• Exposure to cost accounting or operations finance

• ERP experience (SAP preferred)

• Food industry experience is a plus, but broader manufacturing experience is also welcome

to manufacturing environments is considered highly valuable.
