Eye Level Teacher / Instructor

The Eye Level Teacher is responsible for providing individualized instruction to students in mathematics and English while supporting the Eye Level self-directed learning philosophy. The teacher guides students through their learning materials, evaluates progress, provides encouragement, and communicates with parents regarding student development.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide academic instruction in Mathematics and/or English based on the Eye Level curriculum.

• Guide students through learning materials while encouraging independent problem-solving skills.

• Assess student understanding and provide timely feedback.

• Monitor student progress and recommend appropriate level adjustments.

• Maintain a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment.

• Assist with student evaluations and placement assessments.

• Communicate student progress and concerns with Center Directors and parents.

• Ensure classroom organization and adherence to center policies.

• Support center events, enrollment activities, and parent conferences as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or college coursework or degree preferred.

• Strong proficiency in mathematics and/or English.

• Experience working with children in educational, tutoring, or mentoring environments preferred.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Patient, enthusiastic, and committed to student success.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
