The Eye Level Teacher is responsible for providing individualized instruction to students in mathematics and English while supporting the Eye Level self-directed learning philosophy. The teacher guides students through their learning materials, evaluates progress, provides encouragement, and communicates with parents regarding student development.
Key Responsibilities
Provide academic instruction in Mathematics and/or English based on the Eye Level curriculum.
Guide students through learning materials while encouraging independent problem-solving skills.
Assess student understanding and provide timely feedback.
Monitor student progress and recommend appropriate level adjustments.
Maintain a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment.
Assist with student evaluations and placement assessments.
Communicate student progress and concerns with Center Directors and parents.
Ensure classroom organization and adherence to center policies.
Support center events, enrollment activities, and parent conferences as needed.
Qualifications
High school diploma or college coursework or degree preferred.
Strong proficiency in mathematics and/or English.
Experience working with children in educational, tutoring, or mentoring environments preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patient, enthusiastic, and committed to student success.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
