Role Type: Part-Time / Independent Contractor (1099) or Commission-Plus
Location: Remote (DFW Metroplex focus)
Primary Goal: Identify, pitch, and secure live event public address (PA) announcing contracts, play-by-play broadcast opportunities, emcee/hosting gigs, and commercial/corporate voiceover contracts across the Dallas–Fort Worth region.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development & Lead Generation
Prospect and pitch to athletic directors, head coaches, booster clubs, and tournament coordinators across North Texas high schools (UIL, TAPPS), youth sports associations, and regional colleges.
Source emcee, live announcer, and DJ/music-hosting opportunities for charity galas, corporate conventions, community events, and weddings.
Target regional media production houses, ad agencies, and corporate marketing teams for commercial and corporate voiceover (VO) work.
- Client Relationship & Pipeline Management
Build and maintain a CRM pipeline of potential clients, renewal dates (e.g., upcoming athletic seasons), and event planners.
Manage follow-ups, contract renewals, and seasonal re-bookings.
Act as the primary point of contact for booking inquiries, initial rate negotiation, and scheduling availability.
- Pitching & Marketing Outreach
Distribute audio demo reels, portfolio highlights, and media kits to prospective buyers.
Coordinate seasonal email marketing or direct outreach campaigns targeting DFW athletic programs and event coordinators.
Ideal Qualifications
Experience: 2+ years in sports sales, event coordination, talent booking, broadcast marketing, or entertainment representation.
Network: Pre-existing contacts with DFW high school athletic departments, sports venues, event planners, or agency producers is a huge plus.
Skills: Strong cold outreach, phone/email communication, rate negotiation, and organizational tracking.
Knowledge: Familiarity with North Texas high school sports structures (UIL/TAPPS seasons) and live event logistics. Pure Commission
