Now, we’re looking for a founding CTO to lead the technical vision and execution, scale our product infrastructure, and build a world-class engineering culture from the ground up.

What You’ll Own

As CTO, you’ll be the technical co-pilot to the founding team. Your role will include:

• Architecting the stack: Design and manage the technical structure of the full product: backend, frontend, mobile, and data

• Owning dev workflow: Build, document, and evolve the development process, from ticketing to testing to release

• Leading hiring: Recruit, manage, and mentor engineers across frontend, backend, QA, and analytics

• Sprint execution: Plan sprints, lead weekly calls, and ensure timely, high-quality releases

• Hands-on dev ops: Manage infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), either directly or through external consultants

• Driving cost optimization: Own and manage the technology budget, with a sharp eye on scalability and efficiency

• Tech exploration & innovation: Stay ahead of emerging technologies, with an emphasis on AI/ML integration and operational automation

• Strategic collaboration: Work closely with founders on quarterly/yearly planning, OKRs, and go-to-market alignment

• Documentation culture: Ensure clean, clear documentation for systems, processes, and product evolution

What You’ll Bring to the Table

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a CTO or Lead Engineer capacity

• 3+ full product cycles delivered from MVP to live user adoption, ideally for mobile and web platforms

• 5+ years of experience with our tech stack:

• Go (Golang) – Must be fluent

• React / React Native – Proficient at shipping clean, scalable interfaces

• Google Cloud Platform (GCP) – Infrastructure and scaling experience

• MySQL, Stripe API, and GetStream.io – Integrated in production environments

• 2+ years leading and growing teams, with proven hiring, mentorship, and performance management

• Experience with mobile development and marketplaces.

• Hands-on DevOps experience or ability to manage third-party consultants for cloud infrastructure

• Demonstrated experience using AI or machine learning to power product features or automate internal workflows

• Proven ability to operate independently in a startup setting and deliver under pressure

• Strong communication and project management skills from sprint planning to product reviews

• User-centered product thinking with the ability to prioritize impact over polish when needed

• Comfortable taking on a “jack-of-all-trades” role, but capable of delegating as the team scales

• U.S.-based and available to work primarily on Eastern Time hours
