About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Technical Sales Specialist to join a growing commercial team focused on Next Generation Sequencing, genomics, molecular biology, and advanced omics services.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in genomics, molecular biology, NGS workflows, or related life sciences fields, along with the ability to identify opportunities, qualify scientific needs, develop quotes, manage complex sales cycles, and close new business.

This role is highly customer-facing and requires someone who can confidently engage scientists, research teams, biotech organizations, academic labs, clinical research groups, and commercial life sciences customers. The successful candidate will understand both the technical application and the business value of sequencing and omics services.

  • Develop account strategies to expand revenue within existing and prospective customer accounts

Technical Sales & Customer Consultation

  • Conduct customer presentations and technical discussions with scientists, lab leaders, procurement teams, and management stakeholders

Quote Development, Order Management & Sales Execution

  • Prepare accurate and detailed quotations based on customer requirements and project scope

  • Manage the full sales process from prospecting through qualification, quotation, follow-up, close, and post-sale handoff

  • Match final quotes with incoming purchase orders and help ensure alignment between commercial commitments and customer expectations

  • Maintain strong follow-up discipline throughout the sales cycle

  • Coordinate with internal operations, laboratory, technical, and customer support teams as needed to ensure smooth project execution

  • Provide customers with updates related to project submissions, status, and next steps when required

  • Ensure all customer commitments are clearly communicated and properly documented

Account Management & Customer Relationship Development

  • Build trusted relationships with customers by understanding their scientific needs, decision-making process, funding cycles, and future project plans

  • Develop long-term account growth strategies for existing customers

  • Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities across sequencing and omics service offerings

  • Monitor customer satisfaction and proactively address questions, concerns, or service issues

  • Maintain regular communication with active and high-potential accounts

  • Strengthen customer retention through responsiveness, scientific credibility, and commercial follow-through

CRM, Forecasting & Sales Operations

  • Log all sales activities, customer interactions, opportunities, quotations, and follow-up actions in the CRM system

  • Maintain accurate account-level and opportunity-level records

  • Use CRM data to support pipeline reviews, sales planning, and leadership reporting
