Tamil/Marathi Linguistic

Responsibilities:

• Analyze Tamil or Marathi language data for AI and NLP applications to ensure accuracy and relevance.

• Perform linguistic annotation, data labeling, validation, and quality review for language datasets.

• Evaluate AI-generated content for fluency, grammar, meaning, and cultural relevance.

• Support language quality evaluation for multilingual datasets and language models.

• Review translations and localized content for linguistic accuracy and natural phrasing.

• Identify language issues such as grammatical errors, inconsistencies, and unnatural expressions.

• Collaborate with AI researchers, data scientists, and product teams to enhance language projects.

• Contribute to annotation guidelines, quality standards, and linguistic frameworks for projects.

• Provide structured feedback to improve language model performance through analysis.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree in a related field.

• Native or near-native proficiency in Tamil or Marathi, with strong English skills.

• Strong reading, writing, and speaking abilities in both the native language and English.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in linguistic analysis, language annotation, translation, or localization.

• Familiarity with transcription, content review, and language quality evaluation processes.

• Background in AI training data, NLP projects, or LLM evaluation is advantageous.

Preferred Technical Skills:

• Understanding of NLP fundamentals, tokenization, and text processing techniques.

• Experience with annotation platforms, CAT tools, and AI content evaluation methods.

• Proficiency in Excel or other data tools; Python knowledge is a plus.

Ideal Candidate Backgrounds:

• Candidates may come from roles such as linguist, computational linguist, translator, or localization specialist.

• Experience as a language quality analyst, AI language evaluator, or NLP researcher is beneficial.

• Background as a data annotator or language specialist is also considered valuable.
