Senior Commercial Real Estate Paralegal

Full-time

Job description

Our client is seeking a Senior Commercial Real Estate Paralegal with at least five years of recent, continuous law firm experience to join a busy, high-caliber real estate team. You will work directly alongside practice leaders on acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and leasing matters, taking ownership of transactions from opening through post-closing with minimal partner oversight.

This is a true senior-level role. The firm’s partners describe their best paralegals as being just as capable as, and often stronger than, junior associates. You will be a trusted member of the deal team, interfacing directly with clients, opposing counsel, and title companies, and running closings with real autonomy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Title and survey: Order and review title commitments and surveys, identify issues, and drive the resolution of title objections to clear title for closing.
• Closings: Prepare closing documents, manage closing checklists, and coordinate funds flow for commercial acquisitions, sales, leasing, and financing transactions.
• Due diligence: Manage due diligence across multiple active deals, including document review, tracking of deliverables, and communication of findings to the deal team.
• Entity and authority documents: Prepare and review entity documents, organizational and authority materials, and certificates required for closing.
• Estoppels: Request, track, and review tenant and lender estoppels and related third-party deliverables.
• Post-closing: Manage post-closing recordings, filings, and follow-up items through completion, including final closing sets and file close-out.
• Client and counterparty interface: Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, lenders, and title companies, setting expectations and keeping transactions on schedule.
• Deal management: Juggle multiple concurrent transactions, anticipate bottlenecks, and proactively escalate issues to supervising attorneys.
• Work product quality: Deliver accurate, polished, error-free documents and correspondence on every matter.
