Live Events & Experiential CAD draftsperson

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Software Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Vectorworks (Spotlight/Architect) is non-negotiable. Must be comfortable managing complex layers, classes, sheet borders, and 3D modeling environments.

• Industry Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of technical drafting experience explicitly within the live events, experiential marketing, or theater industries.

• Permitting Knowledge: Proven track record of drafting successful permit sets for city agencies (e.g., DOT street closures, DOB structural permits, California, FDNY/local Fire Marshal safety plans and other major markets).

• Technical Savvy: Strong working knowledge of temporary structures (Staging Concepts, Steeldeck, Eurotruss, etc.), scenic fabrication methods, construction materials, and temporary power grid setups.

• Precision & Speed: Ability to work efficiently under tight live-event timelines while maintaining an airtight level of detail and structural accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using Twinmotion or Cinema 4D for rendering tie-ins with Vectorworks.

• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.

• Background in hands-on site management or technical direction.
