Job description

About Us
Fireplace Services installs, repairs, and maintains gas, wood, and pellet fireplaces across Snohomish County and Western Washington. We’ve served this area for years and we’re growing. We’re looking for someone who wants to learn a skilled trade from the ground up — no fireplace experience required.
The Role
You’ll train directly under our lead service technician on real jobs from day one. You’ll start by assisting on service calls and maintenance visits, and as your skills grow, so does your pay and responsibility.
What you’ll do:
• Assist on fireplace service, repair, and maintenance calls (gas, wood, and pellet units)
• Learn diagnostic and repair procedures for hearth appliances
• Maintain tools, equipment, and clean, safe job sites
• Interact professionally with homeowners in their homes
• Learn manufacturer-certified installation and service standards (we pay for your factory training and certifications)
Pay & Advancement
• $25.00/hour during your first 90 days of training
• After 90 days, promotion to Crew Second with commission-based pay tied to the labor on every job you work — your income grows with your skills and speed
• Manufacturer training and certifications paid by the company
• Bi-weekly pay; overtime paid per Washington State law
What We’re Looking For
• Mechanically inclined — comfortable with hand and power tools
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license with a clean record
• Able to lift 75+ lbs and climb ladders
• Comfortable working in customers’ homes with a professional, courteous manner
• Shows up on time, every time
• Construction, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or general trades experience is a plus — but attitude and work ethic matter more
Schedule
Monday–Friday, full-time. Fall and winter are our busy season, so steady hours are guaranteed when many trades slow down.
Why This Job
Fireplace service is a specialized trade with real earning potential and year-round demand in Western Washington. Most people don’t know this career exists — the technicians who learn it are hard to replace and paid accordingly. You’ll learn from an experienced tech, earn factory certifications on our dime, and have a clear promotion timeline in writing.
