Position Overview We are seeking a sharp, highly observant, and discreet Matchmaking Apprentice to learn the inner workings of elite professional matchmaking. In this role, you will work directly alongside our lead matchmaker to support client intake, curate potential candidate pools, assist with date coordination, and master the art and science of human compatibility.
This is a hands-on apprenticeship designed for someone with exceptional interpersonal intelligence, a strong work ethic, and a natural ability to read people.
Key Responsibilities

• Client & Candidate Sourcing: Assist in identifying, screening, and vetting potential matches for high-profile clients across the Greater Seattle area.
• Intake & Interview Support: Shadow client consultations, take detailed behavioral notes, and assist in drafting candidate profiles.
• Date Coordination & Logistics: Oversee the smooth execution of introductions, including venue selection, reservations, and pre-date brief confirmation.
• Feedback Collection: Conduct post-date feedback interviews with clients and candidates to refine future matching criteria.
• Database & Network Management: Keep our network database pristine, organized, and up to date with fresh candidate profiles.
• Event & Outreach Assistance: Help plan and coordinate small-scale networking events or targeted talent searches.
  Qualifications & Requirements
• High Emotional Intelligence (EQ): Exceptional empathy, active listening skills, and an intuitive understanding of interpersonal dynamics.
• Discretion & Professionalism: Absolute commitment to client privacy and strict confidentiality.
• Strong Communication: Polished written and verbal communication skills; comfortable reaching out to new people and conducting video/in-person interviews.
• Organization & Detail Orientation: Able to track complex client preferences, schedules, and feedback without letting details slip.
• Local Knowledge: Familiarity with Seattle’s culture, distinct neighborhoods, and dining/venue scenes is a strong plus.
• Background: Education or experience in psychology, communications, hospitality, executive search, or public relations is preferred, but natural talent and drive are key.
