Job description

We are seeking a Lead Environmental Engineer to lead complex projects and processes while helping drive continuous improvement across environmental operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional who can combine technical expertise, detailed analysis, operational planning, and strong stakeholder management to deliver measurable results. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to influence how work gets done—from redesigning standard operating procedures and identifying automation opportunities to coaching junior professionals and leading complex projects with limited oversight. What You'll DoLead Complex Projects & Initiatives Lead large, complex projects and processes with significant autonomy and limited management oversight. Develop project approaches, establish priorities, and drive initiatives from planning through implementation. Identify risks, opportunities, and process gaps and develop practical solutions to address them. Adapt existing approaches and develop new solutions when standard processes do not adequately address business needs. Drive Continuous Improvement & Automation Conduct detailed analysis of processes, performance data, and operational requirements to identify improvement opportunities. Identify opportunities to automate processes, improve efficiency, reduce risk, and enhance operational performance. Recommend and implement process improvements based on data-driven analysis. Holistically evaluate and redesign SOPs when necessary to improve effectiveness, consistency, compliance, and efficiency. Develop and implement innovative approaches that create sustainable operational improvements. Develop & Support the Team Coach, mentor, and provide technical guidance to junior environmental professionals. Review work products and provide constructive feedback to improve quality and professional development. Delegate assignments appropriately while maintaining accountability for project outcomes. Help build technical capabilities and promote continuous learning across the team. Support Operational Planning Assist with the development of operational plans for assigned areas of responsibility. Translate business and environmental objectives into actionable plans and deliverables. Monitor progress, evaluate results, and recommend adjustments to improve performance. Build Strong Stakeholder Relationships Work collaboratively with internal teams, leadership, technical professionals, and external stakeholders. Communicate complex technical information clearly and effectively. Use strong negotiation and relationship-building skills to resolve issues and gain stakeholder alignment. Build trusted relationships that support successful project execution and long-term operational improvements.
