We have partnered with a large wholesaler in the Northeastern US area to provide them with a Director of Sales and Business Development.  Please review the description below and let us know if you are interested.
 
Prioritized Must Have Skills for the Director of Sales and Business Development:
#1.  Extensive experience in sales leadership, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and achieving targets.
#2.  Ability to manage a large group of territory managers.
#3.  Ability to travel 
 
Responsibilities for the Director of Sales and Business Development:
•    Develop and execute the sales strategy for assigned territories to drive revenue growth and market expansion 
•    Lead, coach, and manage a team of sales professionals, ensuring alignment with company goals and performance expectations
•    Establish accurate sales forecasts and monitor performance against targets
•    Drive accountability and continuous improvement through performance management and metrics tracking
•    Build and maintain strong customer relationships, with a focus on long-term partnership and customer satisfaction
•    Collaborate cross-functionally with corporate functions and distribution or operational groups to ensure customer satisfaction
•    Identify and implement programs, tools, and processes to enhance sales effectiveness and efficiency       
•    Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to inform strategy
•    Ensure consistent execution of company initiatives and sales processes across the sales team
 
Requirements for the Director of Sales and Business Development:
•    Bachelor’s degree in business, prefer MBA
•    Extensive experience in sales leadership, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and achieving targets
•    Strong people leadership skills, with experience managing and developing high-performing teams
•    Industry experience in distribution or related sectors preferred
•    Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence both internal and external stakeholders
•    Strategic thinker with strong execution capabilities
•    Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills
•    Experience working with or competing against major industry players
•    Background managing a large group of territory managers.
 
Other Key Requirements:
•    Significant travel is expected
•    No Visa Sponsorship, No Corp-to-Corp.
