ECAD Engineer – Siemens Xpedition & EDM
Location: Orlando, FL (Fully Remote)
Duration: 10+ Month Contract (Potential for Extension)
Shift: 1st Shift
Pay Rate: $65.00–$75.00/hour (W2)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced ECAD Engineer with expertise in Siemens Xpedition and Siemens EDM to support electronic hardware development and ECAD/PLM initiatives. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with PCB/CCA design, ECAD tool administration, workflow optimization, and scripting for automation.
Required Qualifications
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with Siemens Xpedition and Siemens EDM.
• Experience with PCB/CCA design and the complete electronics design lifecycle.
• Experience working with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
• Ability to analyze existing ECAD/PLM processes and implement workflow improvements within Siemens Xpedition and EDM.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python or VBScript for automation.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience developing automation using the Xpedition API.
• Experience creating and maintaining component libraries within the Siemens ECAD tool suite.
• Knowledge of PCB fabrication, PCB assembly, and rigid and rigid-flex circuit card assemblies (CCAs).
• Experience with additional EDA tools such as Cadence Allegro, Altium Designer, or Zuken.
