Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced AI Developer (React) to join our team in a hybrid role based in Chicago, IL.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in React.js and full-stack development, along with hands-on experience building AI-powered applications using Claude Code, Agentic AI technologies, and Google Vertex AI.

This position is well suited for a senior software engineer who can work across the front-end and back-end while leveraging modern AI development tools and agentic workflows to build scalable, intelligent applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain modern web applications using React.js.
• Build and integrate AI-powered features using Google Vertex AI and other AI technologies.
• Use Claude Code for software development, debugging, testing, and implementation.
• Design and implement Agentic AI workflows and systems, including AI agents that can reason, execute tasks, and interact with external tools and services.
• Work across the full technology stack, including front-end, back-end, APIs, databases, and cloud services.
• Integrate AI/LLM models and services into new and existing applications.
• Build scalable, secure, and high-performing applications.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot application issues and optimize system performance.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain high standards for code quality, security, and documentation.
• Stay current with emerging AI frameworks, agentic technologies, and modern software engineering practices.

Required Qualifications

• 12+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with React.js and modern front-end development.
• Strong full-stack development experience.
• Hands-on experience with Claude Code.
• Practical experience developing or implementing Agentic AI solutions and workflows.
• Experience with Google Vertex AI or similar Google Cloud AI services.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs and backend services.
• Experience working with databases and cloud-based applications.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Experience designing scalable and maintainable software architectures.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment in Chicago, IL.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building production-grade AI/LLM applications.
• Experience with AI agents, tool calling, orchestration, or autonomous workflows.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Familiarity with LLM platforms such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or Gemini.
• Experience integrating AI capabilities into enterprise applications.
• Experience with CI/CD, Git, Docker, and modern DevOps practices.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.

Work Arrangement

Compensation

Candidate Rate: $41.25/hour
