Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Sr Test Engineer / QA Automation Engineer to provide software and system testing support under the direction of Client's project management and quality assurance leadership.

The Test Engineer will be responsible for verification and validation of software applications, biometric solutions, system integrations, and related technology platforms. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in both manual and automated testing, test case development, defect management, SQL/database validation, test automation, and CI/CD testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and detailed test scripts based on functional and technical requirements.

• Execute manual and automated software testing across applications and integrated systems.

• Perform functional, integration, regression, system, and end-to-end testing.

• Support verification and validation activities for software applications, biometric solutions, system integrations, and technology platforms.

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Python, Java, or other scripting/programming languages.

• Support test automation and testing activities within CI/CD pipelines.

• Identify, document, track, and validate software defects using test management and defect tracking tools.

• Perform SQL-based database validation and data verification.

• Validate application behavior across Windows and Linux environments.

• Assist with test environment setup, configuration, validation, and troubleshooting.

• Execute test suites and analyze test results to identify defects, risks, and quality issues.

• Maintain testing documentation, test reports, defect reports, and other QA deliverables.

• Collaborate closely with developers, systems engineers, business analysts, project managers, and customer stakeholders.

• Participate in requirements reviews and provide input on testability and quality considerations.

• Support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of application and system issues.

• Ensure testing activities align with established SDLC, QA, and software quality processes.

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience in software testing and quality assurance methodologies.

• Experience developing test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts.

• Hands-on experience with both manual and automated testing.

• Strong understanding of SDLC and software testing life cycle (STLC) processes.

• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools.

• Strong SQL skills and experience performing database validation.

• Experience working in both Windows and Linux environments.

• Programming or scripting experience using Python, Java, or similar languages.

• Experience with test automation frameworks and tools.

• Understanding of CI/CD testing and automated test execution.

• Experience with system integration and end-to-end testing.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience testing biometric solutions or identity-management systems.

• Experience with complex software/system integrations.

• Experience working with CI/CD platforms and DevOps environments.

• Experience developing and maintaining automated regression test suites.

• Experience working in large enterprise or government technology environments.

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

• Experience with API testing and validation.

• Experience with web services, REST APIs, and database-driven applications.
