Project Manager

The PM will help manage approximately 7–10 active projects, ensuring projects stay on scope, timelines and priorities are clearly defined, and stakeholders remain aligned. A major part of the role will be creating project reporting and establishing the structure and processes needed to effectively manage a growing portfolio of technical initiatives.

Current Projects

The initial focus will include several data and systems integration initiatives, including:

• Data migration projects involving different sets of customer accounts and loans

• Data integration initiatives

• A NetSuite migration

• Managing multiple concurrent technical projects across engineering and product

The expectation is that the PM will become deeply involved in these projects and help establish a consistent approach to planning, tracking, reporting, and execution.

What They're Looking For

They're looking for someone who has experience managing technical projects and is comfortable working directly with both engineering and product teams. The PM needs to understand how software engineering teams operate and be comfortable working within an Agile environment.

The engineering team currently operates on one-week sprints, with planning and grooming sessions running on a Tuesday-to-Tuesday cadence. The PM will need to understand this process and help determine whether existing tools and processes are effective or whether something like Smartsheet—or another project management solution—would provide better visibility and structure.

A PMP is preferred, along with strong knowledge of Agile project management practices.

Key Responsibilities

The PM will be responsible for bringing structure and accountability to a fast-moving project environment, including:

• Managing 7–10 active technical projects

• Keeping projects on scope, schedule, and aligned with priorities

• Building project reporting and providing visibility to leadership

• Establishing and reinforcing project management processes and expectations

• Coordinating closely with engineering and product

• Managing different personalities and stakeholder groups

• Supporting data migration, data integration, and systems implementation projects

• Evaluating and improving project management tools and processes

• Helping the organization scale its project management discipline as the volume and complexity of work increases
