About the company

A late-stage AI company valued above $1B that builds AI agents for rental housing and healthcare, working inside the systems property teams and providers already use. On the housing side, the platform covers the full resident journey: touring, leasing, maintenance requests, renewals, and day-to-day communication with the property team. Recurring revenue has roughly doubled year over year and is now well past $100M, and the company has grown to several hundred people. Every seat on this team is new headcount, created by growth and a steady stream of new products.

The role

You'll be the technical authority for one housing product area (for example leasing, maintenance, or CRM) once customers are live. Customer success managers and customers pull you in when a problem needs real technical depth, and you work it down to the data and integration layer before deciding whether engineering needs to step in. This is a post-sales seat with no quota and no book of business to carry. The team is hiring 4 Solutions Engineers at once, so you'll be joining alongside a new group of peers as the function scales across product lines.

What you'll do

  • Own deep technical knowledge of a single housing product area and act as the go-to resource for the CSMs and customers who use it

  • Investigate customer data and API integrations to find root causes, spot patterns across accounts, and confirm deployments are working as intended

  • Take technical escalations, resolve what you can yourself, and hand engineering clear, well-scoped issues when a code change is needed

  • Help with onboarding and data migration as customers move onto new platform rollouts

  • Bring what you learn from customers back to engineering, product, and customer success so the product keeps getting better

  • Visit customer sites when an engagement calls for it

What you must bring

  • 3+ years as a Solutions Engineer or in a similar technical role, with most of that time spent post-sale (implementations, troubleshooting, escalations)

  • Experience at a startup or fast-growing SaaS company, and comfort building process where none exists yet

  • Hands-on work with API integrations. You're at home reading payloads, tracing data issues, and understanding how systems connect

  • Depth on a complex, multi-product platform, ideally one where you ramped onto areas you weren't originally hired for

  • Enough comfort in a codebase to diagnose a problem and know when it belongs with engineering

  • A track record of resolving technical customer issues on your own before escalating

  • Clear communication with non-technical stakeholders about technical problems and fixes

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or another technical field, or equivalent demonstrated technical depth

  • Willingness to travel up to 20% for on-site customer work

Nice to have

  • B2B SaaS background

  • A path into solutions work from product management, a startup technical account manager role, or founding a company, as long as it included real post-sales ownership

  • Experience supporting data migrations during a platform change

Compensation & logistics

  • $150K to $200K base salary plus competitive equity

  • Benefits include fully covered medical, dental, and vision premiums, fully paid parental leave, unlimited PTO, and meals covered in the office

  • On-site 4 to 5 days a week in New York, NY or San Francisco, CA

  • Up to 20% travel for customer engagements

  • 4 openings

  • Open to visa transfers, including OPT and H-1B transfers

This isn't the right fit if

  • Your solutions experience is mostly pre-sales (demos and deal cycles) with little post-sale ownership

  • You're an engineer who wants to stay heads-down in the codebase rather than work directly with customers

  • Your background is mainly at very large tech companies or in management consulting, without time in a fast-moving product company

  • Your experience is in technical support ticket handling without implementation or integration work

  • Your work history shows a pattern of short stints
