Amazon Vendor Central and Shopify Order Fulfillment and Shipping Associate Manager

We are a fast-growing e-commerce brand specializing in soluble beverages. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional customer experiences through efficient, accurate, and timely order fulfillment. As we continue to scale, we're seeking an experienced Shipping Manager to lead our fulfillment operations in a collaborative and supportive environment, ensuring seamless shipping processes that delight our customers.

This is primarily a desk-based role with occasional light warehouse support to lead a group of female order pickers.

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented, collaborative, and empathetic Shipping Manager to oversee all aspects of our e-commerce shipping and fulfillment operations. The ideal candidate will manage daily shipping activities, optimize processes for efficiency and cost savings, and maintain high standards of accuracy and customer satisfaction while fostering a positive team dynamic.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee end-to-end shipping operations for e-commerce orders, including picking, packing, labeling, and carrier integration.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with major carriers (FedEx, UPS, USPS, and others) to negotiate rates, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with shipping regulations.

  • Generate and apply shipping labels accurately using carrier systems and fulfillment software.

  • Supervise and support a small team of warehouse/fulfillment staff, providing training, scheduling, mentorship, and constructive feedback.

  • Monitor inventory levels for shipping supplies (boxes, labels, packing materials) and coordinate orders as needed.

  • Analyze shipping data collaboratively to identify cost-saving opportunities, reduce errors, and improve delivery times.

  • Handle customer inquiries related to shipping status, delays, or issues with empathy and care.

  • Ensure compliance with domestic and international shipping requirements, including customs documentation when applicable.

  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for fulfillment processes in partnership with the team.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse management within an e-commerce or fulfillment environment.

  • Proven hands-on experience with ShipStation or similar shipping API platforms (e.g., Shippo, Stamps.com, EasyPost, Ordoro).

  • Strong knowledge of FedEx and UPS systems, including rate shopping, label generation, tracking, and claims processing.

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (written and verbal) – required for communicating with team members, carriers, and vendors.

  • Experience with shipping label printers, barcode scanners, and warehouse management tools.

  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with a keen attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, supportive environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace and basic data analysis (Excel/Google Sheets).

  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs and assist in a warehouse setting as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with additional carriers (DHL, international shipping).

  • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, Amazon, BigCommerce, or WooCommerce.
