Job description

Smart Learn Tutoring LLC is seeking a dedicated and professional Employee Relations Specialist to support a positive, inclusive, and productive work environment. The Employee Relations Specialist will serve as a trusted resource for employees and management by addressing workplace concerns, promoting employee engagement, ensuring compliance with company policies, and fostering strong employee-employer relationships.
Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters and workplace concerns.
  • Investigate employee complaints, grievances, and workplace conflicts in a fair and confidential manner.
  • Provide guidance to employees and supervisors regarding company policies, procedures, and workplace expectations.
  • Assist with conflict resolution and mediation between employees and management.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and team-building activities.
  • Monitor workplace culture and recommend strategies to improve employee satisfaction and retention.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee relations records and documentation.
  • Partner with HR leadership to develop and implement employee relations policies and programs.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Conduct exit interviews and analyze feedback to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Assist with performance improvement processes and disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • Support onboarding activities and help new employees integrate successfully into the organization.
    Qualifications
    Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Education, or a related field.
  • Minimum age of 21 years old.
  • Must reside in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HR management systems.
