Smart Learn Tutoring LLC is seeking a dedicated and professional Employee Relations Specialist to support a positive, inclusive, and productive work environment. The Employee Relations Specialist will serve as a trusted resource for employees and management by addressing workplace concerns, promoting employee engagement, ensuring compliance with company policies, and fostering strong employee-employer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters and workplace concerns.
- Investigate employee complaints, grievances, and workplace conflicts in a fair and confidential manner.
- Provide guidance to employees and supervisors regarding company policies, procedures, and workplace expectations.
- Assist with conflict resolution and mediation between employees and management.
- Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and team-building activities.
- Monitor workplace culture and recommend strategies to improve employee satisfaction and retention.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee relations records and documentation.
- Partner with HR leadership to develop and implement employee relations policies and programs.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Conduct exit interviews and analyze feedback to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Assist with performance improvement processes and disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Support onboarding activities and help new employees integrate successfully into the organization.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Education, or a related field.
- Minimum age of 21 years old.
- Must reside in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally.
- Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HR management systems.
