Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Android Developer with 10+ years of professional software development experience and strong expertise in Kotlin and Android application development.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining high-performance enterprise Android applications. You will be responsible for the full mobile development lifecycle, including application architecture, UI development, API integration, testing, debugging, performance optimization, and production support.

This is an onsite position in either Plano, TX or Columbus, OH, working closely with client stakeholders, backend engineers, product managers, QA teams, and other technical professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, secure, and maintainable Android applications using Kotlin.
• Build complex and responsive mobile user interfaces using modern Android SDK frameworks.
• Contribute to application architecture, technical design, and development decisions.
• Integrate Android applications with backend services using REST APIs and JSON.
• Implement integrations with third-party SDKs, libraries, and external services.
• Write and maintain comprehensive unit tests to ensure application quality.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues.
• Perform code reviews and promote clean, maintainable coding practices.
• Optimize application performance, stability, and reliability.
• Provide production support and resolve technical issues as needed.
• Work directly with client stakeholders to understand and clarify requirements.
• Collaborate with backend developers, product managers, QA engineers, and other cross-functional teams.
• Translate complex business requirements into effective technical solutions.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong experience developing enterprise Android applications.
• Advanced proficiency in Kotlin.
• Strong knowledge of Android SDK and modern Android development practices.
• Experience with mobile application architecture and complex UI development.
• Strong experience working with REST APIs, JSON, and remote data integration.
• Experience integrating third-party SDKs and libraries.
• Strong understanding of unit testing, debugging, and code reviews.
• Experience with application performance tuning and optimization.
• Experience providing production support for mobile applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong ability to work directly with client stakeholders and technical teams.
• Ability to translate business requirements into clean, scalable technical solutions.
