Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Windchill Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of PTC Windchill PLM solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Windchill architecture, customization, integrations, and enterprise PLM implementations. This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and technical architects to deliver scalable and high-performing PLM solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise-level PTC Windchill PLM solutions.
• Lead architecture, solution design, and technical strategy for Windchill implementations.
• Configure and customize Windchill based on business requirements.
• Develop and support integrations between Windchill and enterprise applications such as ERP, CAD, and other third-party systems.
• Provide technical leadership during system upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
• Optimize Windchill performance, scalability, and system reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Develop technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and best practices.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and provide root cause analysis.
• Mentor developers and technical team members on Windchill best practices.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of overall IT experience.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience with PTC Windchill PLM.
• Strong expertise in Windchill Architecture, Configuration, and Customization.
• Experience with Windchill PDMLink, ProjectLink, Parts, Documents, and Change Management.
• Strong knowledge of Java, J2EE, JSP, Servlets, and Windchill APIs.
• Experience with REST APIs, Web Services, and system integrations.
• Strong SQL and database experience (Oracle and/or SQL Server).
• Experience with Windchill upgrades, migrations, and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with CAD integrations (Creo, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.).
• Experience with source control tools such as Git.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ThingWorx integration.
• Knowledge of PTC Navigate.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• PTC Windchill certifications are a plus.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud deployments (AWS or Azure).
• Manufacturing, Automotive, Aerospace, or Medical Devices domain experience.
• Exposure to DevOps and CI/CD practices.
