Job description

Industry: Aerospace / Aviation / Defense

Job Category: Manufacturing – Production

The ideal candidate will have worked in a similar role within the Aerospace Manufacturing field (though we will consider candidates outside the industry, with experience in other highly regulated/complex manufacturing environments).

They absolutely MUST have that J-STD soldering certification. Ideally it would be current/active but not a dealbreaker, so long as they have had it in the past, we can help them with reactivating/re-certifying.

Manufacturing Facility is looking for a Harnessing Technician to join their dynamic team. You will join the Manufacturing Assembly and Test team directly, reporting to our Manufacturing Supervisor and enjoy an on-site, collaborative working environment on first shift.

As an Assembly/Harnessing responsible for:

Assemble high reliability chassis and final assemblies using circuit cards, stand offs, wire harnesses, solder and crimping, electrical and mechanical instruments.

Perform high reliability soldering and crimping operations on complex sub-assemblies, electronic, and mechanical assemblies, repair of circuit boards, jumper wires, and wire harnesses.

Decipher and work from assembly drawings, worksheets, parts lists, test specifications, and other instructions, both written and oral.

Know and follow applicable Electro-Static Discharge (ESD) procedures

Perform running harnessing and working with motion control pointing mechanisms as required.

Work in concert with Product Engineering in diagnosing and proposing the necessary rework on models that are intricate in structure and design.

Qualifications:

HS Diploma (or equivalent) is required.

5+ years of experience electrical assembly and soldering experience

Required – Experience in a manufacturing environment (e.g. Aerospace, Medical Devices/FDA etc.)

Required – J-STD solder certification

Ability to work directly from engineering drawings and written instructions.
