We seek seeking a skilled and motivated Scientist to support our R&D efforts in molecular biology, protein biochemistry, and cellular assays. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with standard wet lab techniques, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced startup environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and maintain routine mammalian cell culture, including transfection and cell-based assays.
- Conduct large scale bacterial transformation, culture, and plasmid DNA preparation.
- Execute DNA subcloning workflows: digestion, ligation, colony screening, and plasmid verification.
- Carry out protein expression and purification from E. coli and mammalian cells using affinity chromatography and standard methods.
- Carry out high throughput sequencing
- Run Western blots, including gel electrophoresis, transfer, and immunodetection.
- Perform ELISA and other plate-based immunoassays.
- Accurately document experimental procedures and results in electronic lab notebooks.
- Maintain laboratory supplies, prepare common reagents, and support day-to-day lab operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Bioengineering or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on laboratory experience in an academic or industry setting.
- Proficient in mammalian cell culture and stem cell culture
- Proficiency with aseptic technique, molecular cloning, and protein handling.
- Strong organizational skills, independence, and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with basic data analysis and lab record-keeping tools.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with protein purification techniques such as FPLC.
- Prior experience working in an early-stage biotech or research-intensive setting.
