This role is for the person who:
- Has 10 tabs open (and somehow still knows where everything is),
- Loves the rush of event day energy,
- Actually enjoys sending the follow-up that turns “nice meeting you” into a real deal,
- And wants a path to a full-time role at a fast-moving startup.
If you’re equal parts operator + people person, you’ll thrive here.
What you’ll work on
You’ll split your time between event ops and business development support, with real ownership.
Events & Programming (about 60%)
- Help plan and execute MeeBoss events across our 2026 calendar
- Coordinate the moving pieces: venues, timelines, run-of-show, speaker/panelist logistics
- Support co-hosts and community partners (reminders, assets, confirmations, the whole flow)
- Be onsite day-of: setup, registration flow, partner support, troubleshooting, teardown
- Capture notes + learnings so each event gets smoother and bigger
Sales / BD Support (about 40%)
- Follow up with startup leads tied to events (warm leads, real conversations)
- Support scheduling and prep for calls (you’ll see how deals are actually won)
- Keep HubSpot clean and useful: tasks, tagging, de-duping, pipeline updates
- Help track outcomes: who’s interested, who needs a nudge, who’s ready now
Why this internship is a big deal
You’ll build real startup muscle in two of the most valuable skill sets out there:
- Events/Partnerships: making high-signal experiences happen, working with co-hosts, speakers, and founders
- Sales/GTM: learning follow-up, pipeline hygiene, and how to move conversations toward a “yes”
You’re a fit if you…
- Love juggling details and staying calm when things get busy
- Enjoy meeting new people and can hold a confident conversation with founders/partners
- Are organized by nature (checklists are your love language)
- Want to learn sales, events, and startup operations
- Are comfortable being onsite for events (and can bring good energy)
- Bonus: you’ve used HubSpot, Google Sheets, Canva, or built systems before
What success looks like
- Events run smoother because you’re involved (and you’re impossible to replace)
- Co-hosts/panelists feel taken care of and want to come back
- Leads don’t fall through the cracks, follow-ups happen fast
- HubSpot becomes a tool people trust instead of a haunted house
- You’re clearly growing into full-time responsibilities
