Job Title: Linux Developer

Location: Boston, MA

Employment Type: Contract

Key Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Linux/Unix operating systems

• Linux system programming and application development

• Strong knowledge of C/C++ and/or Python

• Shell/Bash scripting

• Linux troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning

• Experience with Linux processes, threads, IPC, memory management, and networking

• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, sockets, and system-level programming

• Experience with Git and software development tools

• Ability to troubleshoot complex production and system-level issues

📌 Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Linux-based applications and services

• Perform system-level troubleshooting and debugging

• Develop and optimize Linux applications for performance and reliability

• Create automation scripts using Bash/Python

• Analyze system logs, processes, memory, CPU, and network issues

• Collaborate with development, QA, DevOps, and infrastructure teams

• Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support
