The Designer’s Lounge is currently building its Founding Leadership Board.

Company Description

The Designer's Lounge is a mentorship community aimed at helping emerging UX/UI designers thrive through collaboration, skill development, and practical experience. Our inclusive platform empowers junior designers to build confidence, connect with mentors, and prepare for meaningful career opportunities. Through our flagship initiative, The Designers Circle Program, members gain access to workshops, mentorship, peer learning, and real-world design projects. Our mission is to bridge the gap between education and industry by cultivating creativity, empathy, and purpose in the next generation of designers.

Role Description

The Director of Mentorship Programs will oversee the strategic planning, development, and execution of mentorship initiatives, including The Designers Circle Program. Responsibilities include recruiting and onboarding mentors, designing and refining mentorship content, coordinating workshops and sessions, and tracking program performance to ensure impactful outcomes. The role includes collaborating with other board members to strengthen organizational growth within the creative mentorship space. This is an unpaid, full-time, on-site founding board position located in Forney, TX.

Qualifications

• Strong project and program management skills, with the ability to implement and oversee mentorship initiatives

• Proficiency in leadership, relationship-building, and creating inclusive community-focused environments

• Experience with curriculum development and strategic planning for professional development programs

• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

• Passion for fostering growth in the design community and supporting emerging UX/UI designers

• Familiarity with UX/UI design principles and industry practices is a plus

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in design, education, management, or related fields preferred
