We’re seeking a Senior Physician Assistant to provide high-quality, patient-centered care under the direction of a supervising physician in a collaborative healthcare environment. Depending on the specialty and department, you may care for patients in the clinic, hospital, emergency department, or perioperative setting, with opportunities to assist in surgery, perform specialty-specific procedures, manage inpatients, and support continuity of care. As a senior member of the team, you'll also have the opportunity to mentor less experienced Physician Assistants, contribute to operational and performance-improvement initiatives, and serve as a trusted clinical resource to physicians and other healthcare professionals. Locations: Folsom, CA  / Roseville, CA  Specialty & Perioperative ResponsibilitiesDepending on department and specialty needs, responsibilities may include: First assisting during surgical procedures. Performing specialty-specific procedures within established standards of care and practice guidelines. Conducting inpatient rounds and admission evaluations. Facilitating patient admissions, transfers, and discharges. Reviewing medical records, allergies, diagnostic results, and relevant clinical information. Providing pre-operative and post-operative patient and family education. Supporting perioperative patient management and recovery. Reviewing vital signs, laboratory results, diagnostic studies, and patient status. Entering appropriate post-operative orders and facilitating discharge and transfer processes. Supporting on-call responsibilities for the supervising physician. Make an Impact Beyond Patient CareAs a Senior Physician Assistant, you'll bring your experience and clinical expertise to the broader team by: Mentoring and supporting less experienced Physician Assistants. Serving as a clinical and operational resource within your department. Collaborating with physicians, managers, and multidisciplinary team members. Participating in quality and performance improvement initiatives. Helping promote consistent, high-quality clinical practices and patient outcomes. Requirements:At least 3 years of Physician Assistant experience within the last 5 years. Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program. Active California Physician Assistant license required at hire. Physician Assistant National Certification required at hire. National Provider Identifier (NPI) required at hire. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Ability to practice collaboratively under the direction of a supervising physician. Strong clinical assessment, communication, documentation, and patient-care skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-based healthcare environment. Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and/or on-call schedules based on department needs. Ability to travel between locations as required; this position may involve approximately 50% travel. Additional Requirements:Fluoroscopy Permit required for Orthopedics, Interventional Radiology, and Radiation Oncology, or ability to obtain within 18 months of hire. Specialty-specific procedural experience and competency may be required depending on assignment. Ability to work effectively within a Labor/Management Partnership environment. Preferred QualificationsAdvanced certification in a relevant specialty. Specialty-specific procedural or surgical experience. Experience mentoring or supporting other Physician Assistants. Experience in inpatient, perioperative, surgical, or specialty-based clinical environments.
