Job description

Cybersecurity Operations Specialist

Position Overview

TRINSEC7 seeks a versatile Cybersecurity Operations Specialist to serve as our technical SME and primary liaison to outsourced security vendors. This "multi-tool" role requires deep technical knowledge to interpret vendor findings, manage critical security operations, and make mission-critical decisions during incidents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as TRINSEC7's technical representative to our outsourced SOC
  • Manage SOCRadar platform and Digital Risk Protection (DRP) program
  • Conduct OSINT investigations to identify threats to organizational assets, brand, and personnel
  • Monitor dark web, social media, and public sources for data leaks and emerging threats
  • Manage automated and manual patching across enterprise systems
  • Monitor and analyze security alerts, access control, and intrusion systems to identify threats and reduce false positives
  • Coordinate incident response and serve as the primary communication hub during security events
  • Lead crisis communication, including preparedness alerts and business continuity actions
  • Audit security systems, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend improvements
  • Support commissioning, testing, and configuration of security systems (video surveillance, access control, alarms)
  • Compile documentation and evidence for reports, audits, and investigations
  • Refine security procedures based on evolving threats and operational needs

Required Qualifications

  • Prior experience in SOC, command center, alarm monitoring, or physical security environment
  • In-depth knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, IPsec)
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (FISMA, NIST/FIPS, COBIT, DIACAP) and IT governance (ITIL), and how to map controls to threats
  • Familiarity with video surveillance, access control, and alarm systems
  • Strong situational awareness, decision-making, and stress management skills
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Message from the Founder

TRINSEC 7 was founded to give small businesses a chance with their cybersecurity. That objective is fueled by true passion for security, and I believe we are best positioned to accomplish it by building a STRONG TEAM dynamic. A team that enjoys working with one another and shares a passion for protecting the underdogs will always win.

It is a tough job market right now, so here is my promise to you: This is a real position, and I do not care about fancy degrees or certifications. We would rather hire someone who has ZERO certifications but knows how to figure technical challenges out over a CISSP who can't even install a firewall. I am looking for someone who can put points on the board for us and is dedicated to protecting our clients.

We are growing quickly, and as we grow, so will you.
