What You’ll Do

As a Moderate to Severe Special Education Teacher, you’ll create an inclusive, structured, and supportive learning environment tailored to students with a wide range of complex learning and support needs.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering individualized, standards-aligned instruction based on student needs and IEP goals

• Developing, implementing, and monitoring IEPs while maintaining accurate documentation and required timelines

• Using differentiated instruction, positive behavior supports, and student data to guide student progress

• Supporting students with varying academic, behavioral, communication, adaptive, and functional needs

• Collaborating with general education teachers, related-service providers, families, and multidisciplinary school teams

• Building meaningful relationships with students and celebrating their progress

• Creating a classroom culture built on consistency, encouragement, dignity, and high expectations
