Position Overview
Seeking an experienced Technology Business Management (TBM) Business Analyst / Expense Transparency Consultant to support TBM-related financial transparency responsibilities across the full IT landscape, including Product Management, Infrastructure & Operations, Cybersecurity, and other IT service towers.
The role will focus on improving cost transparency, financial accountability, and the connection between IT services, cost drivers, and business value.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and execute TBM Expense Transparency activities across IT divisions.
• Ensure consistent financial reporting, allocation logic, and cost modeling practices.
• Develop, maintain, and refine TBM financial models and reporting frameworks.
• Work with:
o Cost Allocation Models
o Service Tower Mappings
o Run / Innovate Categorization
• Partner with Service Owners to validate financial inputs and align cost structures.
• Improve understanding of IT expense drivers.
• Maintain and support reporting used to communicate spend insights to stakeholders.
• Validate, enhance, and update TBM allocation methodologies.
• Ensure accuracy, defensibility, and clarity of financial reporting.
• Continuously refine:
o Data Sources
o Mapping Logic
o Allocation Rules
o Cost Modeling Assumptions
Required Qualifications
• Experience in Technology Business Management (TBM), IT Financial Management, or Cost Transparency initiatives.
• Experience with IT Billing and Chargeback principles.
• 1–3 years of TBM/related experience for Tier 1.
• Strong understanding of financial operations, including:
o Budgeting & Forecasting
o Cost Allocation
o Financial Reporting & Analysis
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:
o Data Modeling
o Complex Formulas
o Pivoting
o Automation
o Scenario Analysis
• Ability to collaborate with IT, Finance, and business stakeholders at multiple levels.
• Ability to translate complex financial data into meaningful insights for non-financial audiences.
Additional Qualifications
• Familiarity with TBM tools, cost modeling practices, and cost transparency reporting.
• Experience with Power BI dashboards and allocation methodologies.
• Experience with ServiceNow, including:
o ITFM
o CMDB
o APM
o Service Taxonomy
o Request / Asset Workflows
• Experience with PeopleSoft Financials or similar ERP systems.
