Software Engineer

Your role

Do you have passion for reliability, scalability and performance in software?

With your technical expertise you will:

• provide technology solutions that will solve business problems and strengthen our position as digital leaders in financial services

• design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance new and existing applications

• interact with business and tech stakeholders to refine and understand business processes and problems in order to develop technical solutions and make appropriate design decisions

• together with Solution Architects design and implement software solutions that are aligned to companies overall architecture vision

• providing technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new software projects and initiatives to support and enhance our existing applications

• deliver high quality code, aligned with guidelines and standards

• conduct code reviews and test software as needed, along with participating in application architecture and design and other phases of SDLC

• see that proper operational controls and procedures are implemented to deliver high quality software form development to test and to production

• actively take part in our Software Engineering communities, sharing your knowledge and helping others

Your team

You will join the Client Self Service crew where we work according to Agile. It represents the new way of working  with the aim to quickly develop innovative solutions and to digitize key client products end to end. In this crew you will be working in one of our 10 agile teams focused on building digital self-service solutions for existing and prospective clients.

Our teams have a proven track record of being first to market and having direct client impact by evolving our solutions accessed by thousands of users every day.

Your expertise

• bachelor in computer science or any other related area, or proven relevant working experience

• at least 5 years of experience in developing, testing, and launching Java applications

• good knowledge of building modular java web applications using technologies like Spring Boot, REST, OpenAPI

• experience with microservice architecture and cloud computing concepts

• understanding of DevOps concepts such as CI/CD and the importance and value of automated testing

• collaboration with other senior engineers to develop and maintain code quality standards

• proficient command of English required

• ideally you will also have (or be willing to eagerly learn it using our vast educational opportunities):

• experience with azure cloud services (ideally confirmed with Azure Certification i.e. AZ-102)

• experience with software design and architecture - both theory and practice

• experience with container technologies, e.g. Kubernetes

• you’re curious to explore how AI can improve how we build, deliver, and optimize workflows. You do this with sound judgment – validating outputs and aligning with policies, risk standards, and ethical use.
